Why we start structured training around six months
Very young puppies learn quickly but have short attention spans and are still developing physically and emotionally. Around six months, most dogs can handle consistent obedience work, real leash training, and the fair accountability that turns 'knows sit' into 'listens in public.' That is also the age when adolescent behavior shows up: pulling, selective hearing, jumping, and testing boundaries. It is the ideal moment to build the foundation.

Once your dog is ready, puppy training is delivered through private lessons at your home around Brandon, Flowood, Pearl, and the Jackson metro, or a board-and-train stay for young dogs whose owners want the foundation built quickly. Is board and train appropriate for a puppy?
For dogs six months and older, yes, and it is a popular choice for adolescent puppies that are destructive or overwhelming at home. Your evaluation will tell you whether lessons or board and train fit your puppy best.
Do you offer group puppy classes?
No. Every program is one-on-one, because puppies and owners learn far more from individual coaching than from a room full of distracted dogs.
