1. Who we are
Clark's Canine Training is a professional dog-training business based near Brandon, Mississippi, serving the Jackson metropolitan area. We provide in-person evaluations, private lessons, board-and-train programs, phone consultations, follow-up support, and related services. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information created while we provide services, and information collected automatically through the Site.
- Information you provide. Your name, phone number, email address, city or service-area location, and any other details you choose to share when you submit a form, call, text, email, or message us through social media. This includes information about your dog, such as name, breed, age, training goals, behavior concerns, and relevant history, and information you provide when scheduling or attending a consultation or evaluation.
- Information created during services. Evaluation notes, training plans, session notes, progress updates, appointment records, correspondence, and photos or videos of your dog taken during training. These records are kept in our customer relationship management (CRM) system and related tools.
- Payment-related information. Transaction details such as the amount, date, service purchased, and confirmation or receipt information. Full card or bank account numbers are collected and processed by our payment processors, not stored on the Site.
- Phone calls. Calls with us may be recorded or transcribed, as described in Section 6.
- Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 9.
3. How we use information
- Responding to inquiries and providing customer support.
- Scheduling consultations, evaluations, lessons, and board-and-train programs, and sending appointment reminders and confirmations.
- Providing and documenting training services, including maintaining your dog's training history so we can offer consistent follow-up support.
- Communicating with you about your program, your dog's progress, and service updates.
- Billing, payment administration, and financing coordination.
- Internal record keeping, quality assurance, staff training, and improving our services and the Site.
- Marketing communications, such as tips, offers, or news, only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out at any time (see Section 15).
- Protecting the safety of people and animals, preventing fraud or misuse, enforcing our agreements, and complying with legal obligations.
4. Service providers and business technology
Like most small businesses, we rely on third-party companies to operate. These providers may process personal information in connection with the services they provide to us and under their own terms and privacy policies. We select providers we consider reputable, but we do not control their independent practices. Providers we use or may use include:
- HighLevel (LeadConnector), which hosts our online forms, CRM records, scheduling, text messaging, email, and phone features.
- Website hosting, content delivery, and security providers, currently Cloudflare.
- Google, which provides the maps, business profile, and review information displayed on the Site and in search results. Reviews you post on Google are governed by Google's terms.
- Payment processors that handle card and bank payments.
- Third-party financing or payment-plan providers, where offered.
- Email, cloud storage, accounting and bookkeeping, and other business technology providers.
5. Text messages
We use text messaging in two ways, and you can control both.
Transactional and customer-service messages. If you contact us, submit a form, or become a client, we may text you about your inquiry, scheduling, appointment reminders, your dog's progress, billing, and other matters related to your service relationship. These messages are part of administering the services you requested and may continue while that relationship is active, where permitted by law.
Marketing and promotional messages. We send promotional texts only if you have opted in. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.
For all text messages: message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP at any time to opt out, and reply HELP for assistance where supported. If you opt out of promotional texts, we may still send transactional messages needed to administer an existing service relationship, where permitted by law. If you opt out of all texts, we may contact you by phone or email instead. Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Where our website forms include their own text-message consent statement, that statement applies to messages related to that form, and nothing in this policy reduces the rights described there.
6. Phone calls
Calls to and from Clark's Canine Training may be recorded or transcribed for customer service, quality assurance, documentation of your dog's needs and our recommendations, staff training, and internal business records. Recordings and transcripts are treated as business records under this policy. Where the law requires notice or consent at the time of a call, we provide it during the call; this policy supplements that notice and does not replace it.
7. Payments
Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. When you pay online or by card, your full card or bank details are submitted to and stored by the processor under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive transaction confirmations and related details needed for billing and record keeping, and may retain the last few digits of a payment method for reference.
8. Financing and payment plans
If you choose third-party financing or a payment plan, any application or information you submit directly to the financing provider is collected and governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. We typically receive only the information needed to confirm approval, amounts, and payment status.
9. Cookies and website technologies
The Site and the tools embedded in it use cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the Site to work, including security and performance features provided by our hosting provider and the cookies set by embedded forms and scheduling widgets. We may also use analytics tools to understand how the Site is used, and we may use advertising technologies, such as conversion tracking or retargeting pixels, in connection with online advertising.
As of the Last Updated date above, the Site does not use targeted advertising cookies of its own. If we add analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect features such as the consultation form. The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
10. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only in ordinary business situations such as:
- With the service providers described in Section 4, so they can perform services for us.
- With professional advisors, including accountants, bookkeepers, insurers, and attorneys, where needed to run and protect the business.
- With government authorities, courts, or law enforcement when we are legally required to do so or to respond to lawful requests.
- Where reasonably necessary to protect the health or safety of a person or animal, to protect property, to investigate or prevent fraud or misuse, or to enforce our agreements and rights.
- With a successor business in the event of a sale, merger, or restructuring, in which case your information would continue to be handled in a manner consistent with this policy.
- With your direction or consent, for example when you ask us to share records with your veterinarian or another trainer.
11. Photos, videos, and reviews
We photograph and record dogs during training to document progress and share updates with their owners. We publish a client's photo, video, name, or story on the Site or on social media only where the client has given permission, whether in a service agreement or separately. You may withdraw permission for future use at any time by contacting us, and we will remove the content within a reasonable time. Reviews displayed on the Site are reproduced from Google as written by their authors.
12. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services and follow-up support, maintain business and training records, meet accounting and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal requirements. Because we offer follow-up support to past clients, training records may be kept for an extended period. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous in the ordinary course of business.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a business of our size, including reputable providers, access controls, and secure connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information with us has been compromised, please contact us promptly.
14. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults. Service agreements must be entered into by an adult. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Your choices
- Update your contact information by calling, texting, or emailing us.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us.
- Opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP to any text.
- Ask us to correct or delete personal information we hold about you. We will honor reasonable requests unless we need to keep the information for a legal, safety, or business-record purpose described in this policy.
- Contact us with any privacy question using the details below.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The Last Updated date at the top of the page shows the current version. Your continued use of the Site or our services after an update means the updated policy applies.
