My story

How this started

My journey into dog training started over five years ago when helping a family member with a difficult dog sent me down the rabbit hole of learning everything I could about training and behavior.

Since then, I've invested thousands of dollars into my education, learned from respected trainers across the country, and worked hands-on with hundreds of dogs and their owners. Today, I continue investing in courses, seminars, and mentorship because I believe a good trainer should never stop learning.

I'm a balanced trainer, but my goal goes far beyond teaching basic obedience. I want to address the root cause of problem behaviors and build a dog that can listen and make better decisions even around real-world distractions.

Just as importantly, I train the owner, not just the dog. Whether you choose private lessons or a board-and-train program, I'll make sure you understand how to communicate with your dog and maintain the results long after our time together.

I've worked with everything from leash pulling, jumping, and poor recall to severe reactivity, fear, aggression, and dogs with bite histories.

For me, this business is about more than training dogs. It's about helping families get their lives back, keeping dogs in their homes, and helping owners experience what "man's best friend" can really mean.

Because at the end of the day, I believe one simple thing:

More Training = More Freedom.

How I work

Every dog gets understood before it gets trained

I walk into every case trying to truly understand that specific dog. Dogs can be very different from one another, and I don't limit myself by feeling like I have to train in one specific way. I use whatever will genuinely help that dog the most.

That usually means a lot of rewards, clear rules, real accountability when a dog knows better, and training in the places where life actually happens: your living room, your street, the park, the store. It also means telling you the truth about your dog, even when it is not what you hoped to hear.

  • Balanced training: rewards and fair consequences, explained before they are used
  • One trainer from evaluation to graduation, never handed off to staff
  • Owners coached hands-on, with recorded lessons to review
  • Reactivity, aggression, and bite histories evaluated individually and honestly
  • Lifetime follow-up lessons for every board-and-train graduate

What it adds up to

Thousands of hours of study, applied to your dog

Every one of these trainers approaches dogs a little differently, and that is the point. Rewards, play, clear rules, and fair accountability each have a place. Bailey's job is knowing which tool your particular dog needs on a particular day, and explaining why before it is used.
